Meet the Fall 2015 Watershed Stewardship Grant recipients and learn more about their projects.

Background

Alberta’s grassroots watershed stewardship groups are making a difference. Since 2006, the Watershed Stewardship Grant (WSG) Program, funded by Alberta Environment and Parks, has provided funding to the province’s stewardship community to support their efforts.

Through this program, grants are awarded to stewardship groups which are working in their communities to raise awareness of local watershed and wetland issues or improve the condition of their local watershed and wetlands. Clearly, the cumulative benefits demonstrated by grant recipients are what have made this program such a success over the years.

Meet the 2014 grant recipients and learn how these groups will be putting their Watershed Stewardship Grant to work in a variety of community-based stewardship projects in this coming year.
