Winter Harvest

Every evening the evening a young girl brings corn and apples to a hungry deer family. Her reward is an impressive display of deer dancing and romping in the snow.
During the morning hours, the tables are turned as the deer watch the little girl and her family work and play. They then disappear slowly into the woods until nightfall, when they will return.
The story and illustrations capture the special and tenous relationship between human beings and wild animals in the stillness of the winter season.
