What Does the Rain Play?

It’s raining. The sky is heavy and the world is gray. A little boy marches through puddles to school and later, walks home through the mists and fog. All day the rain plays a song providing accompaniment to the boy’s activities in various environments.
The book enables young readers to recognize that sound is an element nature’s as they repeat the song and rhythm of the rain in the poem. A vivid, haunting book young children will want to return to again and again.
