Posted November 29, 2018 by LSC

UPDATE: Due to a last minute conflict our presenter has requested to postpone the webinar until January. We will post a reschedule notice as soon as we have confirmed a new date and time. Thank you for your understanding!

Join the Ecosystem Services Biodiversity Network for this free webinar on December 12, 2018 at 11 AM (MST).

As land stewards, Alberta’s producers can take actions that enhance the value of ecosystem services. The South Saskatchewan Regional Plan identifies payments for ecosystem services as one potential strategy for maintaining ecological health in the South Saskatchewan Region.

During the webinar you’ll get an overview of a multi-disciplinary research project in Indianfarm Creek, Alberta funded by the Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency and Alberta Innovates, to understand the costs and benefits of Beneficial Management Practices (BMPs) for water storage, water quality, carbon and wildlife habitat for the Livestock sector, and future research required to translate ecosystem service benefits into ecosystem service market opportunities.
