Conservation Lands Registry

Land Stewardship Centre of Canada developed this special Alberta-based registry to provide a database search service for natural resource companies to assist in meeting their requirements for development. Subscribers can request searches of specific quarter sections by legal land description to determine any conservation projects, agreements, or other notations on that quarter. The fee-based search report provides contact information for the organization holding the conservation agreements, particularly on private lands.

The database includes: Alberta Culture and Community Spirit - Listing of Historical Sites and Areas; Ducks Unlimited Canada - Alberta lands (exclusive source); Alberta Energy Resources Conservation Board (formerly EUB) - special case lands; Alberta Conservation Association - wildlife program lands; Nature Conservancy of Canada - land holdings and projects; Alberta Sustainable Resource Development - fisheries conservation projects; Crooked Creek Conservancy of Athabasca - land holdings/habitat protection; as well as self-registered private landowners.

Our new online search system launched on July 2nd, 2009!
