G. Burn Evans

Born and raised in southwest Alberta cattle country, Burn has a B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc., PhD (sans thesis) and MBA from the University of Alberta. Burn spent 18 years with the Alberta Government working in Youth, Culture, Recreation and Parks, Policy Planning and two years as Ministerial Assistant. For 20 years he was an Adjunct-Associate Professor at the University of Alberta in the faculty of Renewable Resources-Forestry, teaching history and philosophy of conservation, parks planning, global ecology and social sciences in resource management.

As President of Chapel Rock Financial since 1984, Burn has also provided financial planning services to individuals and small organizations. He is past co-owner and manager of Applied Research Associates, which provided public opinion/market research and public relations to private and public clients. Burn has also acted in and provided voice talent for various film and video productions, as well as radio and TV commercials.

Burn served as Past President of the South Side Athletic Club, on the Duggan School PTA, a Leader, Leader Trainer and District Commissioner for Scouts Canada, and as a Master/International official with Swim Canada. He is a member of The Lynn Singers and serves as Secretary for the CASE Cardio Athletic Society of Edmonton.
